ADAMA Canada Helps Clive Arena Stay Cool For Upcoming Season With $10,000 Donation

A donation of $10,000 was received by Clive Athletic & Agricultural Society to improve its arena. This donation is part of All In On Your Stomping Grounds, ADAMA’s new initiative to help fund community projects across the country.

In order to operate for the 2023/24 season, the Clive Arena required a new ice plant. The rink is rented out to various organizations across Alberta, including hockey training centres, figure skating programs and primary schools to utilize during the winter months. It’s also open for public skating for residents in the Village of Clive, which is around 50 kilometers northeast of Red Deer.

“The arena gets plenty of use throughout the winter and we know closing would leave the community, and especially the children, disappointed,” said Diane Krochak, Clive Athletic & Agricultural Society. “With ADAMA’s donation, we’re looking forward to keeping the rink open for years to come.”

“We could tell how important this project was to the Village of Clive. Facilities like ice rinks make a great impact on small communities,” said Kathleen Murphy, Area Business Manager for ADAMA Canada. “Initiatives like this are the reason we wanted to create All In On Your Stomping Grounds, and we’re looking forward to using the fund to continue to help improve communities all over Canada.”
