ADAMA14 Klartan 240 EW Insecticide Product Overview & Infographic14

Klartan® 240 EW is a fast acting pyrethroid insecticide that controls difficult pests such as thrips and bollworm. It provides good residual control of target pests after application and is stable across a wide range of climatological conditions.
Klartan® 240 EW is effective at low dose rates with low toxicity to bees and predatory insects - in some countries it is even registered to control mites in beehives. It is therefore suited to IPM practices.

Which crops can Klartan® 240 EW be used on?

  • Canola
  • Macadamia nuts
  • Wheat
  • Citrus
  • Apples and pears
  • Peaches, plums and prunes
  • Tomatoes

Consult the Klartan® 240 EW label for comprehensive directions for use on different crops. Alternatively, contact your ADAMA field team for more information.

Mixing instructions

  1. Half-fill your spray tank with water.
  2. Premix Klartan® 240 EW insecticide with a little water.
  3. Add the Klartan® 240 EW mixture to your half-full tank while stirring, then fill the spray tank to the required level with water.
  4. Continue agitation before and during spraying.

NOTE: Alkaline water with a pH > 7 is known to reduce the efficacy of products. We recommend that you buffer the spray solution at pH5.5. Do not use Klartan® 240 EW with any spray oil or highly alkaline materials. For a list of compatible products consult the Klartan® 240 EW label.

Is it safe?

Klartan® 240 EW insecticide is not carcinogenic and has a good safety profile for the user and environment, BUT always follow the safety precautions on the Klartan® 240 EW label.

Pyrethroid resistance
