Aceta Star 46 EC

Aceta Star® 46 EC is a fast acting systemic insecticide and acaricide that controls difficult pests, such as aphids, tuber moth, red spider mite, whiteflies, African bollworm and false codling moth. 

Aceta Star® 46 EC contains acetamiprid, a systemic  insecticide with translaminar activity and with contact and stomach action. Bifenthrin is a synthetic pyrethroid with contact and stomach action.

The local maximum residue levels (MRLs) will not be exceeded if Aceta Star® 46 EC is used according to the label instructions.

Resistance 

For the purpose of resistance management, Aceta Star® 46 EC is classified as an IRAC group code 4A/3A insecticide. To delay insecticide resistance:  

  • Avoid exclusive repeated use of insecticides from the same insecticide group code. 
  • Alternate or tank-mix with products from different insecticide group codes. 
  • Integrate the control methods (chemical, cultural, biological) into insect control programmes.

NOTE: * Emergency registration: Please note that when a product has been approved for the purpose of emergency registration, it is still under evaluation with regard to efficacy, selectivity and behaviour of residues in the particular crop. Environmental and human safety data have already been evaluated and approved at initial registration of the product.

Mixing instructions

  1. Half-fill the spray tank with clean water. 
  2. Add the required quantity of Aceta Star® 46 EC to a small amount of water and mix thoroughly before adding to the spray tank while agitating.
    (If Aceta Star® 46 EC is tank mixed with other products, refer to the labels of the products and to the Aceta Star® 46 EC label instructions.) 
  3. Only mix enough spray mixture for one day’s spraying. Do not allow the mixture to stand overnight.

Usage instructions

Aceta Star® 46 EC can be applied by any suitable medium or high volume spray equipment provided it is equipped with an efficient agitation system, it is able to distribute the spray mixture evenly over the target area and it is calibrated correctly.
