ADAMA India Partners with RiceTec/Savannah for Innovative Rice Farming Solutions

The government's endeavour to advance Direct Seeded Rice (DSR) technology to conserve water for farmers encounters key challenges in both, weed management and attaining yields that are equivalent to transplanted rice. These challenges keep our farmers away from growing DSR varieties. This situation called for a solution in this phase to enable farmers to gain higher yields while achieving reliable weed management.

Anchored in our pursuit of Listening, Learning and Delivering innovative solutions to farmers, ADAMA India recently partnered with RiceTec/Savannah Seeds. Keeping agricultural sustainability and profitability for farmers in mind, both companies leveraged their strengths and technologies to solve this. After meticulous research and trials, we tailored a solution, and a perfect match came into existence, ADAMA’s herbicide Vezir with Savannah’s FULLPAGE® Rice Cropping Solutions system.

As a significant component of the FULLPAGE® Rice Cropping Solution, ADAMA’s Vezir is a herbicide that controls resistant weeds like weedy/red/feral rice and barnyard grass in Imazethapyr-tolerant hybrid rice varieties. It gives our growers reliable, broad-spectrum grass and broadleaf weed control.
