General Info
Methomex 900 SP is a broad- spectrum systemic carbamate that is effective against pests resistant to organophospate and pyrethroid pesticides. It has a fast contact, quick knockdown and residual activity and low volatility.
Methomex 900 SP is effective against a wide range of leaf eating and sap-sucking insect pests including bean flower thrips, green peach aphid, tobacco whitefly, golden wing moth, African bollworm, etc. in fruit trees, vegetables and flowers and capsid bugs, antestia bugs and giant loopers in coffee.
No phytotoxic effects have been observed on vegetables and ornamentals/flowers crops when Methomex 900 SP is used according to the recommendation.

Application Advice
Preparation of Spray Mixture
Fill spray tank full with water. Dump entire contents into spray tank immediately after opening outer package. Do not touch the inner bag and ensure that handling does not cause the breakage of inner bag. Agitate the spray solution until the product and the inner pack are fully dissolved. Always use the water-soluble packs in a single application.
Application Timing
Apply Methomex 900 SP when the pests first appear. Use with sufficient amount of water to obtain a complete and uniform coverage. Apply at low rates on young crop/low infestation level, and increase the rate for the crop with big canopy/heavy pest infestation.
Application Rates
Vegetables and flowers - 400-500 g/Ha
Coffee - Giant looper - 600 g/Ha
Antestia bug - 300 g/Ha
Capsid bug - 300 g/Ha
Lace bug - 300 g/Ha
Compatibility
Methomex 900 SP is compatible with most commonly used insecticides and fungicides. Do not mix with pesticides having an alkaline reaction.
Safety
Re-entry interval:
Field crop - It is safe to enter sprayed area after 24 hours have passed.
Greenhouse crops - It is safe to enter sprayed greenhouse after the spray mixture has dried.
Pre-harvest interval:
- Coffee, celery, lettuce, spinach - 7 days.
- Beans, broccoli, cauliflower, tomatoes - 3 days.
- Cabbage - 1 day.
- Pepper - 10 days.
Methomex 900 SP is toxic to fish and other aquatic organisms. It is harmfull to birds and animals. Keep livestock and wildlife out of treated areas. Do not contaminate ponds and waterways by direct application, cleaning of equipment, disposal of wastes and empty containers. Do not spray when bees are actively foraging. A band with of 1 meter should be observed.
