Application Timing

Rimon 100 EC has limited knockdown activity and is relatively slow acting. Therefore, best results with Rimon 100 EC are achieved when it is applied after the eggs and larva are cited on the crop.

Apply at least two consecutive applications of Rimon 100 EC at 14 days interval to ensure full effectiveness.

Preparation of Spray Mixture

Fill the spray tank with half amount of water. Add the required amount of Rimon 100 EC, then fill the water to the required level and mix or agitate thoroughly to uniformity. Ensure that the spray mixture is used the same day.

Application Technique

Rimon 100 EC works by stomach and contact action and is not systemic in the plant. It is essential for the applicator to ensure that good spray coverage of the target crop foliage is achieved. Use a high spray volume of 800 - 1000L per Ha when applying Rimon 100 EC.

Compatibility

Rimon 100 EC is compatible with most commonly used fungicides and insecticides. The user should carry out preliminary compatibility tests before mixing with other pesticides. Rimon 100 EC is not compatible with methomyl and alkaline materials.

Resistance Management

The mode of action of Rimon 100 EC is different from that of most other insecticides and therefore it is a useful component in Insect Resistance Management Programmes. Rimon 100 EC should be applied strictly at the recommended rates in alternation with insecticides that have different mode of action.

Safety

Pre-harvest interval: Cabbages and kales - 2 days.

Re-entry period: Sprayed area can be re-entered after 6 hours in the field or after the spray has dried in greenhouse conditions.
