Mode of Action

Rimon Supra 100 SC has a strong stomach activity and slight contact activity. It does not have ovicidal activity, but gives a high mortality of first instars hatching from eggs laid on sprayed foliage. Use of Rimon Supra 100 SC also reduces the number of offspring arising from susceptible insect species. Rimon Supra 100 SC works by inhibiting chitin formation in the cuticle thereby causing abnormal cuticle formation or failure to mature in susceptible insect species.

Application Advice

Application Rates

To control caterpillars on roses apply 0.5-0.75L/Ha, 50–75ml/100L water, 10-15ml/20L of water.

Preparation of Spray Mixture

Fill the spray tank with half amount of water. Add the required amount of Rimon Supra 100 SC, then fill the water to the required level and mix or agitate thoroughly to uniformity. Ensure that the spray mixture is used the same day.

Application Timing

Rimon Supra 100 SC has limited knock down activity and is relatively slow acting. Therefore, for best results With Rimon Supra 100 SC is achieved when it’s applied after the eggs and larvae are cited on the crop. Apply at least two consecutive applications of Rimon Supra 1O0 SC at 14 days interval to ensure full effectiveness. Do not use on gypsophilla.

Application Technique

Rimon Supra 100 SC works by stomach and contact action and is not systemic in the plant. As such it is essential for applicator to ensure that good spray coverage of the target crop foliage is achieved. Use a high spray volume of 800-1000L per Ha.

Resistanstance Management

Mode of action of Rimon Supra 100 SC is different from that of most other insecticides and therefore it is a useful component in Insect Resistance Management Programmes. Rimon Supra 100 SC should be applied strictly at the recommended rates in alteration with insecticides that have different mode of action.

Safety

Re-entry interval: spayed area can be re-entered after 6 hours in the field or after the spray has dried in greenhouse conditions.

Rimon Supra 100 SC is not toxic to fish and other aquatic organisms. It is harmful to birds, animals and relatively non-toxic to bees. Keep livestock and wildlife out of treated areas.
