ADAMA Canada Makes A Splash With $3,000 Donation To Treherne Swimming Pool
The Treherne Aquatic Centre requires maintenance and upkeep to accommodate for growing demand. In 2022, the pool accumulated nearly 650 people for swimming lessons and over 8,500 visitors for public swimming. The donation will go towards upgrading the cement pad surrounding the pool, as well as purchasing a new spine board, games to promote water activity and a life jacket drying rack.
“We’re very proud of our facility and know how much the people of Treherne and surrounding areas appreciate it during the warmer months,” said Audrey Hutlet, Treherne Aquatic Centre. “The facility relies heavily on volunteers and donations, so this gift from ADAMA means swimmers can continue enjoying the pool for years to come.”
“We know facilities like swimming pools can provide a lot of joy to residents, especially in small towns,” said Gerald Hildebrand, Area Business Manager for ADAMA Canada. “Projects like this are why we wanted to create All In On Your Stomping Grounds, and we’re looking forward to using the fund to continue to help improve communities all over Canada.”
