ADAMA Canada Donates $4,500 To Help Build A New Facility For Chemotherapy Patients In Angusville

This donation is part of All In On Your Stomping Grounds, a new initiative to help fund community projects across the country.

The money will go towards a large project that involves building a new facility attached to the already existing Russel & District Health Centre (RDHC). The new building will create a more adequate space for a private entrance, a washroom in the treatment area, a waiting room and a storage space. It also means patients will now have access to care locally, rather than having to travel far from their community.

“The number of Manitobans living with cancer is unfortunately going up every year, so we know how important it is to have adequate resources readily available,” said Terry Jackson, Community Cancer Care Inc. “This is a big project and we’re grateful for all donations as it brings us one step closer to providing much needed space for the safety, comfort and privacy of patients and their families.”

“We are very proud to support the ECCC on this initiative”, says Gerald Hildebrand, Area Business Manager for ADAMA Canada, “I don’t know anyone who hasn’t been affected by cancer in one way or another, helping to keep folks in their hometown during an obvious stressful time was something we wanted to get involved in.”
